Located in Bismarck, ND, the Heritage Recovery Center
is designed to provide long-term, residential, supervised
care for individuals who have long histories of chemical
dependence and related problems. Our program will provide
ongoing structure, supervision, and addiction and support
services with the goals of:

Our mission is to help these individuals achieve their
highest levels of independence and productivity by emphasizing
the development and enhancement of work habits, leisure
time activities, interpersonal relationships, socialization
and other aspects of daily living.

Requirements
All interested applicants must apply to the West Central
Human Services Center – Addiction Unit. Once accepted, a
trained professional will assess the applicant’s interpersonal,
residential and vocational skills. Counselors and case managers
will collaborate and develop goals, objectives and a customized
service plan with the individual.
After the residents become adjusted to a daily schedule,
they are expected to find and maintain employment or volunteer
work. They will be responsible for a portion of their rent
and meals, as well as apartment cleaning. Residents must
be involved in 40 hours each week of structured activities
including work, treatment, and personal education. They
are required to attend individualized or group therapy sessions
and a 12-step recovery program.
Moving Forward
In the end, we hope residents leave our facility feeling
in control of their addictions, and can continue to live
structured lives in their own environments. For many, recovery
continues throughout their lives with therapy and counseling.
We wish them the best and hope they continue to strive for
independence, responsibility and sobriety.
