All interested applicants must apply to the West Central Human Services Center Addiction Unit. Once accepted, a trained professional will assess the applicant's interpersonal, residential and vocational skills. Counselors and case managers will collaborate and develop goals, objectives and a customized service plan with the individual.
After the residents become adjusted to a daily schedule, they are expected to find and maintain employment or volunteer work. They will be responsible for a portion of their rent and meals, as well as apartment cleaning. Residents must be involved in 40 hours each week of structured activities including work, treatment, and personal education. They are required to attend individualized or group therapy sessions and encouraged to participate in a 12-step recovery program.
In the end, we hope residents leave our facility feeling in control of their addictions, and can continue to live structured lives in their own environments. For many, recovery continues throughout their lives with therapy and counseling. We wish them the best and hope they continue to strive for independence, responsibility, and sobriety.
