Supporting Pride through Planned Giving

Donations F.A.Q  |  Glossary

Do you believe in the work of Pride?

Do you want to ensure that Pride will be a positive force in the lives of generations of individuals to come?

Welcome to Planned Giving

Pride understands that you want your gift to make a difference, but are concerned about your own future financial needs and those of your family. We deeply appreciate your assistance, and want your gift to be rewarding to you as it will be for us at Pride. Pride wants you to know about the financial tools available to you when planning your gift to Pride so that it returns benefits to you:

You can help support us by donating through PayPal by clicking the "Donate Now" icon below.

You don’t have to use cash to make your gift - you can give us appreciated securities instead, and use an asset that costs you less than the tax deduction you’ll get for it today.

You may be holding assets that would benefit Pride, Inc. more than they do you - such as a life insurance policy that you no longer need, a parcel of real estate like a second home or undeveloped land, or a collection of books or artwork that you no longer have room to display.

You can make a gift that costs you nothing during your lifetime - make us a beneficiary of your Will or revocable trust, or a beneficiary of your retirement plan, and leave your cash flow and current financial planning uninterrupted.

You can make Pride, Inc. a partner in your giving - you can deed us your home but continue to live there, you can sell us property at a charitable discount, and you can make a gift that pays you lifetime income.

These tools are called planned gifts, and this website is the place to learn more about them. Where to start? If you already know something about your giving options, visit "Ways to Give Wisely" below and go right to the planned gifts that you want to read more about. If you’re not sure how a gift can meet both your charitable and personal goals, first go to Discover the Benefits of Giving Wisely to learn how planned gifts work and how they can stretch your giving ability.

Giving Wisely

We're very pleased that you are interested in supporting Pride, Inc. Your generosity will help us meet our current goals, serve more people, and reach into the future. We encourage you to plan your gift thoughtfully. There is no time like now to plan your gift, and our website is the place, to consider how your gift can benefit you as well as us. Your gift can take multiple forms and can help you address a variety of personal financial goals. We're ready to work with you and your advisors to craft the gift plan that best meets your goals and objectives. But first, use the following guide to help you weigh your options:

  • Give now, or give later?
  • What assets to give?
  • How can a gift pay you back?

Options Available to Giving Wisely

INSTEAD OF CASH, GIVE AN ASSET

Using appreciated securities to make your gift can deliver more tax benefits to you than using cash. Giving us appreciated assets may be more beneficial than continuing to maintain them.

USE YOUR ESTATE TO MAKE A GIFT

Your bequest helps ensure that we will do the work that you support far into the future - without affecting your assets during your lifetime. We offer a wise, charitable alternative to the double taxation awaiting your retirement plan in your estate. You can turn surplus life insurance coverage into a charitable gift to Pride, Inc., or use a new policy to create an endowment from income instead of capital.

PARTNER WITH US WHEN MAKING YOUR PLANS!

You can give us your home and continue to live there, or sell it to us at a charitable discount. You will receive stable lifetime payments that are taxed attractively when you create a charitable gift annuity. You can receive income to help you meet many family obligations from the most flexible gift plan, a charitable remainder trust. Increase your estate for your children while delivering years of income to Pride, Inc. with a charitable lead trust.
